Osteopathy for Everyone
Living with long-term pain is exhausting, it steals your energy, your sleep, and your joy. Osteopathy doesn’t just chase the symptoms; we look for the root causes (old injuries, postural habits, tension patterns, scar tissue, joint restrictions…) and work gently with your whole body to reduce pain, improve movement, and help you take back control. Many of our patients who thought “this is just how it is now” have found lasting relief and a real difference in their daily lives. You don’t have to keep managing, you can start feeling better.
Bloating, reflux, constipation, IBS type symptoms, or that heavy feeling after eating don’t always start in the stomach, they can come from tension in the diaphragm, restricted mobility of the organs, old scars, or poor posture compressing the abdomen. Using very gentle visceral and structural techniques, we help restore normal movement to the digestive tract, calm the nervous system, and ease the mechanical stresses that contribute to discomfort. Many patients notice they feel lighter, less bloated, and more regular after just a few sessions. No strong manipulations, just precise, respectful work that lets your body do what it already knows how to do.
Jaw clicking, pain when chewing, locked jaw, teeth grinding at night, headaches that start from the temples, these are incredibly common and often respond beautifully to Osteopathy. We work gently on the jaw joints themselves, the neck, the cranial bones, and all the muscles inside and outside the mouth (yes, with gloves and your permission) to release tension, improve alignment, and restore smooth movement. Most people feel looser and less painful from the very first session, and night grinding often reduces quickly. You don’t have to live with that tight, tired jaw!
Tension headaches, migraines with or without aura, many start or worsen because of restrictions in the neck, base of the skull, tight jaw muscles, or cranial bone mobility. We use gentle osteopathic techniques (neck, cranial, diaphragm, whole-body balance) to release the mechanical triggers and calm the nervous system. Patients frequently report a decrease in the frequency and intensity, or longer gaps between episodes. Even if you’ve “tried everything,” the osteopathic approach is different: we don’t just treat the head, we treat the whole body that’s carrying the headache. Relief is often felt from the first or second session.
Shoulders that won’t lift, elbows that ache, wrists that click, hips that catch, knees that throb going downstairs, ankles that feel unstable, every joint in the body can be helped with Osteopathy. We don’t just “crack” or force things. We find why the joint is unhappy (old sprains, overloaded posture, compensatory patterns, loss of glide or shock absorption) and restore smooth, pain-free movement with gentle, precise techniques. Most patients walk out feeling looser and noticeably less sore after the first visit. Whether it’s arthritis, an old sports injury, or “it just started hurting one day,” your joints can feel and move better!
Tight traps that never relax, sore calves after minimal effort, that constant knot between the shoulder blades, lower-back muscles that spasm if you sneeze, muscle pain is often the body’s alarm bell saying “something is out of balance.” We release the muscle itself (gentle stretching, myofascial work, trigger-point release) and, more importantly, we correct the reason it got tight or sore in the first place: joint restrictions, poor posture, old scars, over-use, or nervous-system tension. The result? Muscles that finally let go and stay relaxed. Most people feel immediate softness and warmth in the area, and the pain doesn’t come rushing back the next day!
That constant ringing, buzzing, whooshing or clicking in the ears can be exhausting. When tinnitus is related to tension in the upper neck, jaw (TMJ) dysfunction, cranial bone restrictions or tight muscles around the ear, Osteopathy can bring real relief! We work gently on the craniocervical junction, the jaw, the temporal bones and the whole system that influences blood flow and nerve signals to the ear. Many patients notice the volume drops or the sound changes quality from the first session, and it keeps improving over a few treatments. It doesn’t help every type of tinnitus, but when the neck or jaw is involved (which is surprisingly common), the results can be life-changing. It’s always worth checking!
Spinning sensations, feeling off-balance when you turn your head, car sickness that never used to happen, or dizziness that starts after looking up or rolling in bed, these are often coming from the neck or crystals displaced in the inner ear (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, BPPV). We are trained in both: • Gentle repositioning manoeuvres (Epley, Semont, etc.) that can fix classic BPPV in one or two sessions (most people walk out vertigo-free). • Precise osteopathic work on the upper neck and cranial base when tight joints or muscles are the trigger. Over 90% of the patients we see for vertigo notice major improvement or complete resolution within 1–3 visits!
The best injury is the one that never happens. Regular osteopathic check-ups (even when you feel “fine”) keep joints moving freely, muscles balanced, and posture efficient so your body can handle work, sport, lifting kids, or just life without breaking down. Athletes use us to stay at their peak and avoid recurring strains. Office workers come every few months to stop that “about-to-go-wrong” feeling turning into weeks off. Parents get tuned up so carrying babies and toddlers doesn’t wreck their back. Think of it like a service for your body: a few sessions a year keep the little imbalances from becoming big problems. Our patients say they move better, hurt less, and simply don’t get injured like they used to. Prevention really works, and it feels good too!

Pediatric Osteopathy
Babies can develop flat spots or asymmetrical head shapes from spending a lot of time on their back after birth, preferring one side, or even from their position in the uterus during pregnancy (especially if space was tight, twins, breech, or long last weeks). Gentle osteopathic treatment helps release tight neck muscles and cranial restrictions so baby naturally turns both ways again. When we start early (ideally before months), the head shape rounds out beautifully.
That painful spitting up or silent reflux can come from tension in the diaphragm, vagus nerve irritation or upper-neck restrictions after birth. A few very gentle sessions can calm everything down, many babies stop arching in pain and feed more happily almost immediately.
Even tiny babies can struggle to poo comfortably. We gently free the lower back, sacrum, pelvis and abdominal tensions so the bowels move more easily. Most parents see softer, more regular stools within days, and a much happier baby. Often, we have a nice surprise in the diaper at the end of the session!
Sticky eyes that never clear? Gentle work on the cranial bones, facial tissues and lacrimal area encourages the duct to open naturally. A few minutes of soft treatment and daily massage tips from us usually solve it without needing probing
We don’t cut tongue-ties, but we treat the tension in the neck, jaw, floor of the mouth and cranium that often goes with them. This helps baby latch deeper, suck stronger and feed more efficiently, whether before or after a tongue tie release. Many breastfeeding mums notice a big difference right away!
Some babies hold their head to one side, hate tummy time or seem “stuck.” Very gentle release of the birth strains in the neck, spine and pelvis helps them move freely and reach milestones more easily, and comfortably.
Settling troubles, waking every hour, and only sleeping when held. Birth compressions in the head and neck can make babies feel tense or “wired.” A session of cranial and body work usually helps them relax deeply, most parents report longer stretches of sleep from the very first night.
When everything else has been checked and baby is still unhappy, very gentle Osteopathy can calm an over-stimulated nervous system and release physical discomfort from the birth process. Parents often say their baby finally seems “at peace” after just one or two visits.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Osteopathy
Your joints loosen (thanks, relaxing!), but that can make hips, pubic symphysis, lower back or ribs ache intensely. Osteopathy re-balances the pelvis and spine, eases ligament strain and takes pressure off sore joints so you can walk, sleep and move comfortably again, right up to delivery.
Heartburn, reflux, sluggish bowels, and bloating, the growing uterus squashes everything. We gently free the diaphragm, stomach, intestines and lower ribs so food moves down instead of up, and you feel less heavy and nauseous.
Tight hips and sacroiliac joints can make labour harder and more painful. Specific gentle techniques open the pelvis, balance the ligaments and help baby settle into the best position.
That sharp, shooting pain down the leg (or burning in the buttocks) is often the sciatic nerve being crowded by a shifted pelvis or tight piriformis (the pain in the butt muscle). A couple of precise, gentle sessions usually reduce or completely remove it, safely, at any stage of pregnancy.
We help it stay strong yet supple (preventing leaks and prolapse) and teach you how to relax it fully for birth. Postnatally we release tension, treat scars and restore tone so you feel supported again, without painful “squeeze-til-it-hurts” exercises. We often team work with a pelvic floor therapist!
Birth (vaginal or caesarean) leaves strains in the pelvis, tailbone, abdomen and diaphragm. Early gentle treatment speeds healing, reduces pain, helps breastfeeding posture, eases coccyx or scar discomfort and gets you feeling like yourself again, often in just a few visits. Bring baby along!
When tension in the pelvis, lower back, diaphragm or old scars affects blood flow or hormonal signalling, osteopathic work can help create a more welcoming environment. Many women who’ve struggled to conceive notice cycles become more regular and eventually fall pregnant naturally (or have better IVF outcomes) after a short course of treatment. It’s a gentle, hopeful complement to medical care.
